Locum Sonographer Required

We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Sonographer to support a busy and well-established community diagnostic imaging service based in Norwich.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and professional team delivering high-quality ultrasound services to both NHS and private patients. Flexible sessions are available, making this an ideal opportunity for sonographers seeking additional work or regular locum commitments.
The Role
You will be responsible for independently performing and reporting a range of ultrasound examinations while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
Working within a modern outpatient setting, you will play a key role in supporting timely diagnosis and helping to reduce waiting times for patients across the region.
Examinations May Include
- General abdominal ultrasound
- Pelvic ultrasound
- Gynaecology ultrasound
- Renal and urinary tract ultrasound
- Soft tissue examinations
- Small parts ultrasound
- Musculoskeletal ultrasound (where applicable)
- Vascular ultrasound (desirable but not essential)
Requirements
- Relevant ultrasound qualification (PgCert, PgDip, MSc or equivalent)
- HCPC registration, NMC registration, or equivalent professional registration where applicable
- Proven experience as an independent Sonographer
- Ability to work autonomously and produce high-quality diagnostic reports
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and patient safety
