Locations: Bristol & surrounding areas
Rates
- Weekdays: £13.00 per hour
- Nights & Saturdays: £17.00 per hour
- Sundays & Bank Holidays: £22.00 per hour
- Escalated rates may apply to selected shifts
We are currently recruiting Band 3 Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support community, rehabilitation and sub-acute services across Bristol and surrounding areas.
A variety of shifts are available, including day and long-day shifts, with opportunities within rehabilitation and community-based services.
The Role
As a Band 3 HCA, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to patients within community and rehabilitation environments.
Duties may include:
- Supporting patients with personal care and activities of daily living
- Monitoring and recording patient observations
- Supporting mobility and rehabilitation programmes
- Assisting with nutrition and hydration
- Supporting patients recovering from illness, injury or neurological conditions
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Reporting changes in patients' condition to the nursing team
- Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control
- Promoting patient dignity, independence and wellbeing
Requirements
- Band 3 Healthcare Assistant experience
- Recent UK healthcare experience
- Community, rehabilitation, stroke or sub-acute experience advantageous
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach
- Relevant mandatory training
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to undertake one
- Right to work in the UK
