About the role

We are delighted to be recruiting a Registered Manager for a small, welcoming children’s home in Bargoed, supporting 2–3 young people in a stable, nurturing environment.

This service is run by a charity / non-profit organisation, meaning the focus is firmly on quality care, relationships, and long-term outcomes, rather than occupancy or profit.

As Registered Manager, you will have the time and space to lead with purpose, build a strong staff team, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people.

Key responsibilities

  • Overall management of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations

  • Creating a safe, supportive, and child-centred environment

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the staff team

  • Ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance

  • Building positive relationships with professionals, families, and external agencies

About you

  • An experienced Registered Manager (or Deputy Manager ready to step up)

  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential care

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care

  • Confident leader with a supportive, hands-on approach

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
