Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) – Band 7
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset
We are currently seeking experienced Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENPs) to support PHB Clevedon Minor Injuries Unit (MIU).
Pay Rates:
- Weekdays: £30.00 per hour
- Nights & Saturdays: £40.00 per hour
- Sundays & Bank Holidays: £50.00 per hour
The Role
As a Band 7 ENP, you will provide autonomous assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients presenting with minor injuries and urgent care needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking comprehensive clinical assessment of patients attending the MIU.
- Autonomously assessing, diagnosing and treating minor injuries and illnesses within scope of practice.
- Requesting and interpreting appropriate investigations.
- Providing appropriate treatment, advice and discharge planning.
- Recognising and escalating patients requiring further investigation or emergency care.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
- Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Maintaining high standards of patient safety, clinical governance and infection prevention.
Essential Requirements
- NMC Registered Nurse.
- Current Band 7 ENP / Emergency Nurse Practitioner experience.
- Relevant ENP/Emergency Care qualification.
- Experience working autonomously within a Minor Injuries Unit, Urgent Treatment Centre, Emergency Department or similar setting.
- Ability to assess, diagnose and manage patients independently.
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Evidence of current clinical competencies relevant to the role.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to complete the required NHS compliance and pre-employment checks.
