Locum Sonographer | Sheffield
We are seeking a Sonographer to join our team. In this role, you will perform 2D, 3D, and 4D ultrasound scans, including HD live options, contributing to our mission of providing comprehensive prenatal imaging services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a specialized clinic focused on maternal and fetal health.
Responsibilities
- Perform variety of prenatal ultrasound scans, including early pregnancy dating scans, reassurance scan, gender scans and 4D Bonding scans.
- Conduct high-quality ultrasound scans including 2D, 3D, 4D, and HD live imaging.
- Produce high-quality ultrasound images and videos.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and make appropriate referrals to the NHS when necessary.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the ultrasound process and deliver exceptional patient care.
- Adhere to fetal ultrasound safety standards and clinic protocols, including ALARA principals.
- Educate patients about the procedures and address any concerns.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and clinical governance within the clinic.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
Qualifications
- Certified sonographer having proven experience, preferably in a private clinic setting.
- Professional registration with HCPC.
- Strong knowledge of medical imaging principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with IT systems used for medical records.
- Commitment to patient care and safety along with maintaining high clinical standards.
- Knowledge of MRI or CT is advantageous but not essential.
