Registered Manager – Children’s Home

Location: Macclesfield
Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (with occasional weekend on-call)


Salary & Rewards

£55,000 – £63,000 per year (depending on experience, qualifications, previous registration history, and home size)

Additional earning potential:

  • Up to £3,000 annual Ofsted performance bonus
  • Up to £3,000 sign-on bonus within the first 6 months
  • Total first-year earning potential: up to £66,000
  • Ongoing earning potential: up to £63,000 per year

Your Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the children’s home
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children and young people
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the residential care team
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements, and internal policies
  • Oversee quality of care, performance, staffing, and service development
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, social workers, and external professionals
  • Drive continuous improvement and support the home towards Outstanding inspection outcomes

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior role within children’s EBD residential care
  • Previous leadership or management experience in a children’s home
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Willingness to work towards or hold Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
