About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee a brand-new 2–3 bed children’s residential home in the Dudley area, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new service from the ground up, shaping a positive culture and ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager and ensure the home meets all regulatory standards.

  • Lead, develop, and inspire your team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care.

  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and behaviour management practices.

  • Manage budgets, staffing, and rota planning efficiently.

  • Build strong relationships with professionals, families, and the local community.

  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting (Deputy or Registered Manager level).

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).

  • Excellent understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Passionate about providing outstanding outcomes for young people.
