Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) – Palliative Care / Oncology
Location: Scotland
Salary: £41,000 – £51,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

An established and highly regarded hospice service is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join its innovative and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team.

This service provides high-quality care to older adults, individuals with life-limiting illnesses, and those with complex medical needs. With excellent facilities and a compassionate, patient-centred ethos, the team is dedicated to enhancing quality of life in a warm and supportive environment. Patients are encouraged to maintain independence, with strong involvement from families and loved ones.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering specialist palliative care within the community, working collaboratively across disciplines to support patients and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated CNS who is passionate about driving high standards of care and contributing to service development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist palliative and/or oncology care in a community setting
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient support
  • Support patients and families through complex care pathways
  • Contribute to service improvement and clinical best practice
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues

Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in palliative care and/or oncology
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in palliative care or cancer nursing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence practice and support positive change
  • Passion for community-based care delivery
