Job Title: Psychologist (HCPC Registered)

Salary: £78,000.00 P/A
Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced HCPC Registered Psychologist to support the emotional wellbeing, development, and mental health of children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, developmental trauma and SEMH.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, you will provide psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention. You will also contribute to trauma-informed practice through psychological consultation, reflective practice and training for education and care staff.
Key Requirements
- Doctoral-level training in Clinical, Educational or Counselling Psychology
- HCPC Registration
- Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs, trauma and SEMH
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation and intervention
- Experience working in schools, care homes or similar settings
- Familiarity with trauma-informed, attachment-aware and PBS approaches
- Experience delivering staff consultation, reflective practice or supervision
- Understanding of safeguarding, SEND and relevant legislation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and autonomously across settings
- Experience supporting service development, research or audit
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake psychological assessments using psychometric tools, observation and consultation
- Develop and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions
- Provide direct and indirect therapeutic input for children and young people
- Contribute to support planning and trauma-informed care
- Deliver reflective practice, supervision and clinical consultation for staff
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, formulation and outcome monitoring
- Work flexibly across multiple sites with a varied and complex caseload
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, reviews and safeguarding discussions
- Deliver training to enhance psychological literacy, emotional regulation and trauma-informed practice
- Support the development of psychologically informed environments
- Contribute to service evaluation, research, audit and quality improvement
- Keep up to date with developments in child psychology, trauma-informed care and neurodiversity
